Beginning Woodworking for Women (Evenings)

No woodworking experience required.This class is for anyone who has not had much (or any at all) experience working with wood or tools, or wants a refresher. It is designed for women, trans and non-binary people.Learn. Participants will have a chance to explore their creative and practical problem solving sides, and learn about safety, design, wood, power tools and some hand tools in a supportive learning environment. Machines covered include the miter saw, table saw, jointer, planer and drill press, as well as jig saws, drills, routers, and sanders.Make. Students will design and build a beginning-level woodworking project of their own choice. For over twenty years, and in three states, Gail has empowered women and girls through her class offerings in adult learning programs, woodworking courses in  her studio, at HatchSpace, and the Claremont Makerspace, Rosie's Girls summer camp sessions, mixed gender workshops and one on one tutoring.
