No woodworking experience required.Charcuterie boards are a year-round must-have for any kitchen, especially here in Vermont. Make your own solid-slab charcuterie board in this special 3-hour class with guest teaching artist Char Miller-King. Char is a mom, a woodworker and an educator from Atlanta, Georgia; and she is the exuberant force behind The Wooden Maven, her design-build company. We're feeling mighty lucky to have her here at HatchSpace, sharing her talent and joy for the craft of woodworking!Learn. Students will learn how to take a rough hardwood slab from rough to smooth using the table saw and planer, then achieving a smooth hand-sanded finish. Use an all natural wax and oil finish to bring out the glow in your hardwood board. This class is designed especially for students with little or no woodworking experience who are looking for a fun and easy project to dive into.Make.
